The Rash-400 is part of the modular Rash family of mixer seals, designed to fit shaft sizes ranging from 2 inches to 7 inches (50mm to 180mm) in diameter. With the appropriate suffix, the Rash is tailored to specific applications, denoted by the acronym:

- R for Reactor

- A for Agitator

- S for Seal

- H for Heavy duty

This design offers the convenience of a cartridge, allowing it to be pre-tested and easily mounted. It can be economically and effortlessly converted from one Rash model to another, whether as a double seal or a high-pressure seal, providing versatility and cost efficiency.

The inclusion of an internal bearing significantly minimizes shaft deflection at the seal location, a crucial aspect when sealing mixers. Hastelloy is used for the wetted parts of the seal to ensure durability and corrosion resistance, while the remainder of the seal can be made from more economical materials. Cooling or heating jackets are also available to suit various operational conditions.
