JOHN-JN is developed in conjunction with DuPont® and features an encapsulated, double-acting, back-to-back, preassembled cartridge, allowing it to handle pressures other than those directly from operation. Its specially designed pumping ring and contact faces have proven to significantly reduce heat, enhancing seal performance. A lip seal is located inboard of the primary seal for maximum protection. The seal system is compatible with API Plan 53 and ISO Plan 11, offering versatility in application. JN does not require a buffer pressure greater than that of the process fluid, simplifying system requirements. This mechanical seal also offers the possibility of integrating a sensor that alerts when the primary seal fails and the pumped product enters the lubrication tank. At that moment, the sensor you install will detect the change in pressure and alert you to the mechanical seal's failure.
